Remington Industries cut & stripped UL3173 wire is perfect for use as jumper wire, or as a component in wiring harnesses or other assemblies.

Customize your cut and stripped wire: For Strip Type, choose Full Strip to have the insulation completely removed on the stripped end. This way, the wire is ready for use right out of the box. Or, choose Partial Strip to have the insulation stripped and pulled back, but kept on the wire. This can protect the stripped ends if you need to handle the wires before processing or terminating them. Additionally, you may choose to have your wires dipped in tin solder after they have been stripped. Known as a tin overcoat or pre-tinning, this keeps the strands of the wire from fraying and provides increased solderability.

In general, this XLPE UL3173 wire is ideal for use in rugged environments like electric motors & generators, transformer leads, and switchgear & appliance applications. It is also great for general 600V electronics projects where the wire may periodically be exposed to higher temperature elements such as soldering irons, heat guns, or a component/winding baking process. The chemically cross-linked polyethylene jacket provides excellent cut-through and impact resistance, protects the wire against gasoline, chemicals, oils, & solvents, and additionally does not soften or burn when heated. The stranded conductor inside the jacket is made of tinned copper to provide good electrical connectivity.
