Made from stranded copper conductors and thin-walled, cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, our 16 AWG GXL Automotive Primary Wire is versatile and durable. The construction of this type of wire ensures it can withstand temperatures of 125°C (257°F) and up to 60 volts. The XLPE coating defends the core copper conductor against abrasion, oils, chemicals, fuels, and solvents, while also remaining flexible enough to fit wherever is necessary. Due to the XLPE coating, flexibility, and voltage, this hook-up wire is ideal for higher temperature, more rugged circuit wiring applications that specify SAE J1128 requirements, including automotive and electric motor work, as well as generator applications. This particular wire is also compatible with Ford ESB-M1L 85-B and Chrysler MS-8900. This product is RoHS & REACH compliant.
The 16 AWG, GXL Automotive Primary Wire comes in 10 different colors to help you stay organized. Chose between black, blue, brown, gray, green, orange, red, violet, white, or yellow wire for your projects. Remington Industries also offers 7 different spool sizes for your convenience.
