This 14 AWG 200c magnet wire is a high quality solution to a variety of severe thermal overload applications thanks to its high temperature properties.
In fact, magnet wire is incredibly versatile and can be used for a wide variety of applications. Magnet wire can be found in transformers, wound coils, solenoids, instruments and more. You might also come across magnet wire at schools, as it is often used in science projects and more.
Magnet wire is insulated copper wire. Raw copper is drawn to meet specific size requirements based on the National Electrical Manufacturer's Association (NEMA) standards. This particular magnet wire has been coated with modified Polyester, with a Polyamideimide overcoat. This insulation protects the coiled wire from short circuiting.
This magnet wire meets the NEMA MW-35-C standard for operating temperature (200°C/392°F) and insulation makeup.
