This 304 stainless steel is a general-purpose steel alloy with a great response to hardening by cold working and high resistance to heat and corrosion. Easy to weld or form, it has 8 percent nickel, and 18 percent chromium in its composition, as well as good oxidation resistance when used in temperatures up to 1,600°F. Compliant with ASTM A276 specifications.
